Venessa Giunta is a writer of weird things. She is the author of the urban fantasy Soul Cavern series. Venessa holds an MFA in Writing Popular Fiction from Seton Hill University and has worked on the editorial side of publishing since 2008. Her non-fiction essay “Demystifying What Editors Want” can be found in the book, Many Genres, One Craft. She is active in convention life, having held a number of organizational positions over the years including Second to the Director of the Writers Track at Dragon Con. She is also the WRITE Track Director for Multiverse Con.
L. Marie Wood
Lisa Wood, writing as L. Marie Wood, is an award-winning psychological horror author and screenwriter. She won the Golden Stake Award for her novel The Promise Keeper. Her screenplays have won Best Horror, Best Screenplay Short, and Best Afrofuturism/Horror/Sci-Fi awards at several film festivals. Wood is also a Professor of English. She has an MFA in Creative Writing with a concentration in Speculative Fiction and an MA in English and Creative Writing with a concentration in Screenwriting. Wood also has a Graduate Certificate in Online Teaching of Writing and a BA in Communications/ Film Production.
